About a year ago, my friend Eglent Bici, founder of MEI Residence, contacted me to propose the design of a Tourist/Residential Complex to be built in Qerret, a prestigious seaside resort on the Albanian coast. After a few days we organized a visit on site, and given the spectacular nature of the place, I didn’t hesitate for even a minute in accepting the assignment. A building surrounded by nature, with fabulous Mediterranean vegetation and a pristine sea: the optimal and stimulating scenario to approach this type of design in a wonderful context. And this is how the Qerret Project was born. A simple and linear building, perfectly integrated with the surrounding nature, where the only frieze are the wavy bands of the balconies, in harmony with the waves of the opposite sea. During the design phase I especially thought of giving considerable importance to the study of the apartments that compose the project, so that they would play an important role in the entire complex, not as simple living spaces, but rather as functional and relaxing environments, for an outdoor holiday, in the name of comfort .
